I believe living “on purpose” is one of the most important things we can do. Being intentional with our lives really shouldn’t be an option. But it seems so many of us just drif through life, bouncing from one thing to the other, letting life happen to us instead of grasping what God wants our life to be defined as and pursuing it. I am so thankful that, early on, I had someone help me define what “intentional” meant for my life. I use these guide posts everyday to:
- make decisions about how I invest my time, talent & treasure
- evaluate my pursuit of God’s call in my life
- keep myself accountable to what’s important
I am far from perfect in my pursuit of these things. But without them, I would be far less intentional with the 70 or 80 years that will be my life.
You can see my life purpose, calling, goals & core values here. This is just an example – yours will probably be very different. But I hope you know why you are here and how you are supposed to be spending your days.
Are you living on purpose? On Friday I will post a brief overview of the process to define your own life purpose, calling, goals & values.
