I try and read a lot. In fact, long ago I made the commitment to read at least one chapter a day. I don’t always get that done, but I found you can get through an amazing amount of reading if you just practice that one small habit. I love reading on ministry, children’s ministry and, especially, on leadership.
So here are some of my favorite leadership books:
- Leading Change by John P. Kotter
- The Leadership Challenge by James M Kouzes
- The Effective Executive by Peter Drucker
- The 360 Degree Leader by John Maxwell
- The 21 Laws of Leadership by John Maxwell
There are many others that I truly enjoy, but if I had to give just 5 books to a young leader, these would be the five.
