I’m excited about two new books coming out by Reggie Joiner. The first is called Parenting Beyond Your Capacity: Connect Your Family to a Wider Communtiy.
Andy Stanley endorses it with this quote on the back cover:
Parenting Beyond Your Capacity provides us with a practical and revolutionary approach to the responsibility most of us find daunting – parenting. This book will equip you to be successful throughout your child’s development.
The book offers five family values which enable the parent to:
- Invite others to invest in your children.
- Create a culture of unconditional love.
- Tap into the power of quality moments together.
I’m looking forward to reading it! If you’re interested, you can pre-order the book here.

The second book coming out is called The Slow Fade: Why You Matter in the Story of Twentysomethings.
The book addresses the very real problem of youth leaving the faith toward or at the end or their high school years. Too often families and the church let them go, assuming they will eventually return. But, as the back of the book says:
The problem is, if we let them go, we may never see them again…Almost imperceptibly, they become less and less involved in church and faith and, eventually, absent altogether – in what we call the slow fade. Yet as these young people face critical decisions that affect the rest of their lives, they need their faith communities more than ever. So what’s the answer? You!
Reggie Joiner co-authors the book with Chuck Bomar, a former “twentysomething” pastor, and Abbie Smith, a “twentysomething” herself, to offer what looks like a compelling resource to help stop “the slow fade” among our young people.
Very much looking forward to reading this one also! If you’re interested in this one, pre-order it here.
