Today is my oldest son’s 15th birthday. As anyone with kids can attest, the years seem to fly by. I remember when he arrived wondering what he would be like. Now, 15 years later, I can say unequivocally that he is an awesome kid…or should I say “young man”! Michele & I couldn’t be more proud, so we thought we’d share some of the reasons that make Taylor so awesome:
He loves God with all his heart- He does amazing impersonations & accents that are hilarious
- He is very handsome & charming (this is from Michele)
- One of his very first words was “iguana” which he said perfectly
- Since “iguana”, he’s learned the names of thousands of species & can tell you facts about them that you wouldn’t believe
- He dances like me (this is from Greg)
- He gives everything he’s got to everything he does
- He is willing to fail
- He brings a book with him every morning to the breakfast table
- Did we mention his mother thinks he’s handsome & charming?
- He is a great big brother to Garret
- His favorite quote is by Theodore Roosevelt: “Great thoughts speak only to the thoughtful mind, but great actions speak to all mankind.” That’s pretty cool for a 15 year old!
- He’s so much fun to watch playing varsity basketball as a freshman
- He is a road warrior, already having visited three continents…two of them on mission trips
- Did we mention that Michele thinks he’s . . . uh, yea, I think we said that already!
